nanoMAG™a stainless steel combines "extremely high strength" and "excellent soft magnetic properties" through our proprietary grain size refining technology. It is five times stronger than electromagnetic soft iron, so it can also be used for applications such as rotor cores, which are subjected to strong centrifugal force due to high-speed rotation.

TDS-1 is a high-performance ferritic stainless steel with excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and soft magnetic properties.
It has high magnetic flux density and low coercive force, making it excellent in magnetization, demagnetization, and magnetic shielding properties. It can be used as electromagnetic stainless steel by applying magnetic annealing.

(2) Corrosion Resistance
TDS-1 has a better corrosion resistance than SUS430.
(3) Conductivity is nearly the same as 42 Alloy,
The coefficient of thermal expansion of TDS-1 is about half of 42Ni, though the conductivity is the same. Switching from 42Ni can reduce costs by as much as 50%.
(4) Extensive installation experiences with TDS-1 replacing other grades
We have abundant experience of introducing TDS-1 to our customers to replace their current steel grades such as 42Ni, phosphor bronze, SUY, Permalloy, etc.
We can also manufacture foils below 0.10 mm in thickness and in small lots.

SUY-1 is a mild steel with extremely low Carbon and low Impurities.
This grade is specified in "JIS C2504 Soft magnetic Irons", and is generally called "Pure iron". SUY is classified into four types, from Type 0 (SUY-0) to Type 3 (SUY-3), depending on the value of magnetic properties. Because of low carbon and Impurities, good drawability and soft magnetic properties※, it is mainly used for motor applications. and recently, magnetic shielding application are also increasing. ※Magnetic properties include magnetic flux density and coercive force, which can be maximized by magnetic annealing again after cold working.
This means P: Plate (plate/strip/strip) and B: Bar (bar/wire), and is an expression of shape within the name of the steel grade.

What is the difference between SUYP and SUYB?
