Fundamental Information Security Policy

TOKKIN has adopted "Be a Niche-Top®" as our management strategy to concentrate management resources on niche markets. We help customers achieve their technology dreams by providing highly functional materials to a wide range of industries in Japan and abroad as one of its corporate missions. We play a central role in social functions to avoid damage to the supply chain from external threats such as cyber-attacks. We consider it our important responsibility to protect the information assets entrusted to us by our customers as well as our own information assets.


To meet the expectations of society and our customers, we have established "Fundamental Information Security Policy". We build, maintain, and operate an information security management system (hereinafter referred to as ISMS), We will continue to improve and take necessary protection and appropriate security measures for our company's and our customers' information assets.

  1. Objective

    TOKKIN is positioning information security as an important management issue, we protect not only our information assets but also that of customers, suppliers and sub-contractors from threat of accidents, disasters, crime, etc. This policy defines the basic policy for establishing and operating ISMS for the purpose of continuing stable business activities in order to earn the trust of our business partners and society.

     

  2. Scope of Application

    The scope of this policy applies to all information assets related to all business activities managed by the Company, the facilities used to protect such information assets, and the company's officers and all employees who use such information assets.

     

  3. Leadership and ISMS Structure

    The CEO shall host the Information Security Committee, which plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of the ISMS, promotes continuous improvement, and issues instructions on how to respond to accidents and emergencies. In addition, the designated Information Security Manager is responsible for implementing countermeasures, providing internal guidance, and providing input to the Management Council (Management Review) as necessary.

     

  4. Information Security Education

    Every one of our directors and employees shall understand the importance of information security through education and training based on EX-PLAN (Education and Training Program for Human Resource Development), and shall ensure that information is handled appropriately.

     

  5. Compliance with Laws, Regulations, and Contractual Requirements

    We shall comply with all laws, regulations, codes, and contractual obligations related to information security.

     

  6. Response to Violations and Accidents

    In the event of a legal or contractual violation or accident, the person who discovers the incident shall immediately report it to the Information Security Manager, and emergency measures shall be taken as necessary to minimize the damage and prevent recurrence.

     

  7. Dissemination and Disclosure

    This policy shall be made known to all employees and disclosed to interested parties.
